Edward Somy Thompson, 76, passed away November 12, 2023.

Ed, as he was known, was born to Somy and Mildred Thompson, on March 10, 1947. Ed is survived by his three children Jodie (Mark) Gilliland, Edward Thompson Jr., and Jason Thompson. He is also survived by his sisters, Marcia (Randy) Brake and Janice (Win) Moore; and 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Ed, was a man of many talents and passions. His dedication to his career, his woodworking, and his gunsmithing was evident in every aspect of his life. Whether he was working tirelessly to achieve his goals, or sharing his knowledge with others, he approached each endeavor with integrity and a genuine desire to make a positive impact.

Ed passed peacefully in his sleep and is no longer in pain.

Funeral service will be held at Merrell Cemetery, December 9, 2023 at 11 am.
