Burial Services
The cemetery continues to serve as a resting place for descendants of pioneer families and others connected to the area.
Maintenance and Groundskeeping
Managed by the Merrell Cemetery Maintenance Association (MCMA), which oversees the upkeep, repair, and improvement of the cemetery grounds.
Annual Picnic Meeting
Held for participants (those with family buried in the cemetery) and their guests, this event includes a communal meal, providing barbeque, drinks, tables, and chairs. Attendees may bring covered dishes.
Community and Family Involvement
The cemetery fosters community spirit by maintaining ties with the descendants of pioneer families, many of whom participate in its management and activities.
